Community Connection series begins at Kennedy

WILLMAR -- The Child Guide program in the Willmar School District has planned a series of presentations for the community.

The Community Connection Presentations will begin at noon Thursday at the Little Theater at Kennedy Elementary School with Superintendent Jerry Kjergaared reviewing the school budget and answering questions.

The presentations are aimed at parents and interested community members and are open to the public. 

Other presentations are planned for March, April and May. All will take place from noon to 1 p.m.

On March 16, Deb Brandt from Heartland Community Action Agency will be at Little Theater to talk about children and poverty.

On March 17, Willmar Police Officer Marilee Dorn will be at Willmar Middle School to talk about dangerous drugs.

On April 16, Dorn will be at the Little Theater to speak about safety at home, on the Internet and on the road.

On May 6, Rick Loseth will be at the Little Theater speaking about children and mental health.
