WILLMAR -- The Willmar Area Symphonic Orchestra will present its spring concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Willmar Education and Arts Center, 611 Fifth St. S.W. in Willmar.

The concert will feature the two winners of the young artists' competition: Ryan Freitas, of Willmar, on saxphone and Joesph Hillesheim, of Buffalo Lake, on flute.

The special guests are Lee Roisum and Carol Welker, opera singers who summer in Sunburg. They will be performing selections from La Traviata, Il Trovatore and Carousel.

The concert is dedicated to Dr. John Opsahl, orchestra founder, who died this winter. The orchestra is in its 51st year as a continuous performing group. It is comprised of volunteers, and members have mentored countless young musicians over the years.

Tickets are available at the door at a cost of $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $5 for kids under 12, and a family pack of two adults and unlimited kids for $25.
