OLIVIA -- Connie Ann Fowler Tompkins, 65, of Minnetonka, formerly of Olivia, died Dec. 7, 2006, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Senior Citizen Room in Olivia, with a time to share at 2 p.m.

Memorials are preferred for a tree or bench in an Olivia park.

She was born Aug. 25, 1941, in rural Hector to Alfred and Agnes (Keltgen) Hefti. The family moved to Olivia in 1944, and she attended the Aloysianum and graduated from Olivia High School in 1959.

She married Gene Fowler on June 3, 1961. She married Larry Tompkins in 1981. She drove bus for the Metro Transit for over 20 years.

She is survived by her husband; children: Scott (and Theresa) Fowler of Salem, Ore., Dan (and Jill) Fowler of Vacaville, Calif., Tricia (and Blaine) Dehmlow of Brentwood, Calif., T.Jay (and Jennifer) of Berkeley, Calif.; six grandchildren; and five siblings: Tom (and Jeanne) Hefti of Lake Forest, Calif., Pat (and Lisa) Hefti of Pine River, Lavonne Evans of Centennial, Colo., Punky (and Dean) Julson of Olivia and Mary (and Dale) Brakemeier of Minnetonka.

She was preceded in death by her first husband.
