Wild Game Feed -- The Victory Christian Fellowship in Grove City will be hold a Wild Game Feed Saturday, Jan. 21 at 206 Second St. South in Grove City. The guest speaker will be Neil Thielke with the United Foundation for Disabled Archers. Bring a wild game dish and get in free, otherwise the cost is $5 for adults and $2 for those under age 16. Cross Country Ski trails -- Open daily from 8 a.m.-sunset. Ski and snowshoe rental available. Trailhead hours on weekends are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday. No fee for trail use, but a Minnesota Ski Pass is required.
Open Climbing -- Indoor rock climbing wall. Saturdays from 9 a.m.-noon. Reservations required, please call by Thursday.
After School Climbing Club -- Indoor rock climbing wall. Thursdays, Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23 from 3:30-5 p.m. for grades 3-8. $30 per person.
After School Archery Club -- Meets Tuesdays, Jan. 24, 31 and Feb. 7 from 3:30-5 p.m. for grades 4 and up. All equipment provided. $30 per person.
Beginning Archery Class -- Monday, Jan. 30 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. for grades 4-8. All equipment provided. $10 per person.
Winter Adventure Club -- Snowshoe, nature activities, cross country skiing and winter games. All equipment provided. For grades 3-6. Mondays, Jan. 23, 30 and Feb. 6, 13 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. $30 per person.
Sibley State Park
The Sibley State Interpretive Center hours vary during the week and can be obtained by calling 354-2002. All programs are led by the park naturalist or visiting expert. They are at the Interpretive Center, and unless otherwise noted are free and last one hour or less. A vehicle permit is required to enter the park, and they are available at the park office. Snowshoeing: 2-3:30 p.m., Jan. 21, 28; Feb. 4, 11, 18, 25. Following a brief talk, the naturalist will lead a snowshoe hike. Reservations required, limit of 20, age 10 or older. Call 354-2055 or 354-2002. Snowshoes provided or bring your own.
Cross Country Ski lesson for beginners: 2-3:30 p.m., Jan. 22. Learn about the equipment and practice the basics of classic cross country skiing. Bring your own skies, poles and boots and be prepared to be outside. Reservations required, limit of 15. Call 354-2055.
The Monarch in Mexico: 2 p.m., Jan. 29. Laura Molenaar will show a video and discuss her trip to Mexico to see wintering Monarchs.
Buck racks and teeth: 2 p.m., Feb. 5. Learn about the importance of antlers, how teeth are used to age deer and how buck racks are scored.
Sibley's Veteran Conservation Corp history: 2 p.m., Feb. 12. Learn about Sibley's Three Bears VCC Camp and the work they did constructing roads, trails and buildings.
Maple Syruping: 2 p.m., March 18, 25. Explore the history of maple syruping, the tools of the trade, sap collection, processing and best of all - tasting. Reservations required, limit of 40. Call 354-2002 or 354-2055.
