Bird Watching Walk -- 8:30 a.m., April 29, May 6, 13. Sibley State Park is home to over 200 bird species. Identify and observe many different and exciting bird as they return to Sibley over a four-week period. Bird sightings may include the eastern bluebird, scarlet tanager and northern oriole. Binoculars and bird books furnished if necessary.
Bluebird Conservation Story -- 2 p.m., April 30. Come see the once rare and beautiful eastern bluebird. Listen to the bluebird's story and find out what you can do to help this bird survive and thrive. Bluebird houses on display. House designs available.
Woodland wildflower walk: 2 p.m., Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7. Following a presentation, participants will take a short drive and walk to experience Sibley's woodland flowers. Vehicles needed.
Amazing Amphibians: 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14. Sibley State Park is a home for 10 of the 19 species of amphibians found in Minnesota. Learn about frogs, toads and salamanders
Fire, friend or foe, 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 20. Examine how Sibley uses fire to improve the forests and prairies and see some of the fire equipment during this talk and walk.
Bald Eagle: 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20. A slide program examining the life, culture and history dedicated to our national symbol, the bald eagle plus discover the bald eagles of Sibley.
Pondview trail walk: 10 a.m., Sunday, May 21. Explore the wetland bird life, insect eating plants, dragonflies and why wetlands are important for people too during this talk and walk.
