Kandiyohi County Pheasants Forever Chapter #2 meetings -- The Kandiyohi County Pheasants Forever Chapter #2 will hold general meetings leading up to its banquet on April 3, 2009, at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Willmar. The meetings will be held at the Kandiyohi Entertainment Center in Willmar at 7 p.m. on the following dates: Feb. 23, March 2, March 9, March 23 and March 30.

Sibley State Park

The Interpretive Center is open daily. All Sibley State park programs are lead by the park naturalist or visiting expert. They are at the Interpretive Center and are free unless otherwise noted. A vehicle permit is required to enter the park and they are available at the park office. For more information call 354-2002.

Winter trails: Nordic skiing and snowmobile trails are groomed, weather permitting. The trail center in the lower level of the Interpretive Center is open 24 hours a day. There is a warming room, bathrooms and water fountain. A cross country ski pass is required for age 16 and older.

Snowshoe hike: 2 p.m. Feb. 21 and 28, weather permitting. Following a brief talk on snowshoe design, manufacture styles and use, a naturalist will lead a walk. Snowshoes will be provided to the first 20 people, 12 years of age and older, who call for reservations, 320-354-2055.

Bluebird conservation story: 3 p.m. Feb. 22. A presentation about the bluebird and what you can do to attract them to your home.
