Sibley State Park

The Interpretive Center is open daily. All Sibley State park programs are lead by the park naturalist or visiting expert. They are at the Interpretive Center and are free unless otherwise noted. A vehicle permit is required to enter the park and they are available at the park office. For more information call 354-2002.

Monarch's miracle: 10 a.m. Sept. 5. A PowerPoint presentation on the changes in this butterfly and its migration.

Granite, Oak and Men: 2 p.m. Sept. 5. The beautiful and skillfully constructed buildings in Sibley were built by unemployed World War I veterans who lived and worked here from 1935-38. The park naturalist will use a PowerPoint presentation and talk to explore the work and lives of the men of Sibley's Three Bears Camp.

Wildflowers I.D. and use: 11 a.m., Sept. 6. Take a stroll to examine and identify wildflowers and explore their uses and history.

Fish features and facts: 2 p.m. Sept. 6. Using fish pillows and posters we will examine fish parts, fish life, and Minnesota fish facts.

Bald Eagle: 10 a.m. Sept. 7. A PowerPoint program examining the life, culture and history dedicated to our national symbol, the bald eagle plus discover the bald eagles of Sibley.
