Kandiyohi County Pheasants Forever Banquet -- The Kandiyohi County Chapter of Pheasants Forever will hold its annual banquet March 27 at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Willmar. Proceeds from the banquet will be used for habitat and youth education projects. For tickets or more information, call Brad Hanson at 320-212-4983 or email bhns@rice.willmar.mn.us. The doors open at 5 p.m. and the dinner starts at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $55. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

Middle Fork Crow Watershed District Open House -- The Middle Fork Crow Watershed District will hold an Open House Tuesday, April 6 from 5-6:30 p.m. at 174 Lake Avenue North, Suite 2, in Spicer to celebrate its fifth anniversary. For more information, call Vanessa Glieden Henjum at 320-796-0888 or email Vanessa@mfcrow.org.

Habitat Day -- The Litchfield Wetland Management District, an office of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, will host Habitat Day 2010 from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, April 10. Birds from the Raptor Center, including a bald eagle, from the Raptor Center in St. Paul will be on hand and programs will be given at 1 p.m. Bluebird and wood duck house kits will also be available free of charge and can be built on site. There will also be a limited number of wren houses and robin nest shelves. The event is free to the public. The Litchfield WMD is located on South Ripley Drive, south of Litchfield. Weekly/monthly

Willmar Rifle and Pistol Club -- Indoor range open to public Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30-9 p.m. through April. Located in the basement of the Willmar City Auditorium. $1.50 per half-hour. Targets on sale. Rimfire rifles, rimfire or centerfire handguns only. No high-power/magnum loads. For more information, email wrpc_info@yahoo.com.

Prairie Woods ELC

The following activities are offered by Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center. Register by calling PWELC, 354-5894 or e-mail at pwelc@wecnet.com. Discount available on all classes for members.

Beginner Archery Class -- All equipment provided or you can bring your own. 4 p.m. April 6. Ages 10 and older. Fee is $10 per person.

Advanced Archery Class -- All equipment provided or you can bring your own. 4 p.m. April 13. Ages 10 and older. Fee is $10 per person.

Open Climbing -- Indoor rock climbing wall. Saturdays from 9 a.m.-noon. Reservations required, please call by Thursday.

Sibley State Park

The Interpretive Center's hours vary. Sibley State park programs are on the weekends at the Interpretive Center and are led by the park naturalist or visiting expert. A vehicle permit is required to enter the park and they are available at the park office. For more information call 320-354-2002. Maple syruping, from tree to taste: 2 p.m., March 27. Explore the history of maple syruping, the tools of the trade, sap collection, processing and best of all, tasting. Limit 40. Reservations required, call 354-2055.
