Open Climbing -- Indoor rock climbing wall. Saturdays from 9 a.m.-noon. Reservations required, please call by Thursday.
Sibley State Park
The Interpretive Center's hours vary. Sibley State park programs are on the weekends at the Interpretive Center and are led by the park naturalist or visiting expert. A vehicle permit is required to enter the park and they are available at the park office. For more information call 320-354-2002. Animal track making for kids: 10 a.m. Oct. 23. Learn about animal tracks by making tracks from plaster of paris and rubber molds.
Scraping Up a Buck: 2 p.m., Oct. 23. The "rutting" season of the whitetail deer is occurring. A walk to observe deer signs including buck rubs and scrapes. The naturalist will discuss the method and purpose of these fall behavior sightings.
Geocaching, High Tech Treasure Hunt: 10 a.m. Oct. 24. Join this high tech treasure hunt and learn the basics of this new worldwide recreational sport. GPS units provided. Limit of 20, age 8 or older and children must be accompanied by an adult. Advance reservation required, register at the interpretive center or park office.
