Sno-Skippers Speed/Radar Runs -- The Sno-Skippers Snowmobile Club will host speed/radar runs Jan. 15-16, Feb. 6 and Feb. 20 at the Saulsbury Beach access on Green Lake in Spicer. Registration begins at 9 a.m. each day with runs from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The cost is $15 per racer per class for three runs, then $5 per run thereafter. Radar runs are open to all classes. Willmar Rifle and Pistol Club -- Indoor range open to public Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m. through April. Located in the basement of the Willmar City Auditorium. $1.50 per half-hour. Minnesota Darkhouse Anglers Association -- The West Central Chapter of the Minnesota Darkhouse Anglers Association will hold its regular meeting at Melvin's on the Lake in Spicer, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend and to become a member. Dues are only $10. This month's meeting is our annual fundraising and new member signup meeting. Proceeds from this meeting are used to support local causes such as Let's Go Fishing, Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center, Crow River Trail Guards, Prairie Pothole Days and others. Our invited speaker this month is Jay Leitch, author of "Darkhouse Spearfishing Across North America". The chapter supports actions that improve pike angling and darkhouse spearing opportunities.
