Corn, soybean update slated for Feb. 16 in Olivia
OLIVIA -- The University of Minnesota Extension and Renville County Extension will provide an agronomy update for corn and soybean production from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 16 at Max's Grill in Olivia. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m.
There will be a $10 registration fee per person at the door to cover the meeting proceedings, refreshments and the noon meal. The Renville County Corn and Soybean Growers Association will have the annual meeting from 11:30 a.m. to noon followed by buffet lunch for everyone. Current members of the Renville County Corn and Soybean Growers Association will receive a credit for cost of the meal.
The U of M faculty from the Southwest Research and Outreach Center at Lamberton and Regional Extension educators will review topics such as corn and soybean insects and disease, iron chlorosis, planting agronomics for high-yield corn and a 2011 weed control herbicide label update.
