Cosmos man treated, released after hit-and-run crash with semi

HECTOR -- A 26-year-old Cosmos man was treated and released for injuries sustained in a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash around 6 a.m. Wednesday morning north of Hector.

According to the State Patrol, Jeremiah D. Gunnerson was driving a 1987 Ford Ranger that hit the rear of an excavator on a low-boy trailer of a red semi. The semi was eastbound on County Road 11 and did not stop for a stop sign at State Highway 4.

The Renville County Sheriff's office assisted at the scene.
