Council to receive wind turbine update

WILLMAR -- The Willmar City Council will receive an update on the wind turbine project from Bruce Gomm, general manager of the Municipal Utilities. The council will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday in the chambers at the Municipal Utilities Building, 700 Litchfield Ave. S.W.

Two hearings are scheduled: the council will consider the 2010 street and improvement report; and will consider an ordinance amendment relating to electronic signs.

The council will receive the reports of the Finance Committee, the Public Works/Safety Committee, and the Community Development Committee.

Also, the council will receive the annual reports from the city clerk-treasurer and the community education and recreation department.
