Cowan — Hermodson-Olsen
Emily Cowan and Joseph Hermodson-Olsen were united in marriage Sept. 22 at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Fulda. The couple have changed their last name to Dalen in honor of the groom’s grandmother.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Marcie Cowan of Iona. The groom is the son of Andrew and Rosine Hermodson-Olsen of Brownton.
Maid of honor was Kathy Brenny, friend of the bride. Bride’s attendants were Teresa Hermodson-Olsen, Jessica Hermodson-Olsen and Elizabeth Hermodson-Olsen, sisters of the groom, and Lindy Nelson, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Lexah Nelson, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Daniel Hermodson-Olsen, brother of the groom. Groom’s attendants were Anders Gylland, cousin of the groom; Ethan Cowan, brother of the bride; and John Eric Dickey and Ryan Stenzel, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Chaser Ellingson-Bertrand, godson of the bride.
Ushers were Mike Cowan, Christopher Cowan and Brandon Diekmann, cousins of the bride, and Jens Gylland, cousin of the groom.
A reception and dance were held at St. Columba Hall in Iona.
Following a wedding trip to the Florida Keys, the couple resides in Cyrus. The bride is employed by Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Schools in Murdock as a second-grade teacher. The groom is employed by Heartland Motor Company in Morris as an automotive technician.
