Willmar dog park anniversary celebration cancelled due to high number of mosquitoes

Cross Country: SCC, Sauk win WC North

ST. CLOUD - Ryan Noack ran a 16:38 for 5,000 meters at Greystone Park to win the individual title and lead the St. Cloud Cathedral boys to first place with 19 points in West Central North cross-country Tuesday.

Sauk Centre beat St. Cloud Cathedral 41-67 for first-place in girls. with the Crusaders' Beth Tacl running a 14:30 for first place, followed by Paynesville freshman Linda Keller in second at 15:33.

Maren Greenwaldt of Minnewaska took seventh overall in 16:16. Also for fourth-place Paynesville, Kaitlyn Frenchick took eighth (16:17) and Kacy Nehowig 10th (16:39). New London-Spicer took third, despite not having a runner in the top 10.

In boys, Alex Humbert of Minnewaska took seventh (17:24). The New London-Spicer boys were also third of six teams.

Individual results were not available and will be published in Thursday's paper.
