Three children reportedly injured in elementary school shooting in South Carolina

Crow River Day is Sept. 18

The Crow River Clean-Up Day will be Saturday, Sept. 18.

The Crow River Clean-Up Day began in 2002. It started with citizens' groups in Rockford, Hanover and Delano.

The cleanup activities inspired Diane Sander, Watershed Coordinator for the Crow River Organization of Water, to organize a regional event that would encompass the entire watershed. In the past six years, the CROW has helped coordinate over 1,607 volunteers to remove over 39.33 tons of trash from 203.8 miles of shoreline on the Crow River and its tributaries.

The Crow River Clean-Up Day is a one-day event. Activities start at 8 a.m. and run until noon in each community. Each volunteer receives a t-shirt commemorating the event as a thank you for all their hard work.

Please contact Dan Nadeau, CROW Watershed Technician at 763-682-1933 Ext. 122 if you would like to participate.
