BENSON -- Curtis Norman Dokken, 72, of Benson, died Wednesday at home.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson. Burial will be in East Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Arrangements are by Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.

He was born Sept. 24, 1936, in Pope County to Albert and Bertha (Avoke) Dokken. He grew up on the family farm and attended country school through the eighth grade. He served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963 during the Korean War. He was stationed in the Hawaiian Islands.

He married Carol Ann Haldorson on Dec. 27, 1961, in Morris. They lived in Benson, and he worked at Case-Tyler for 43 years.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
