The free event will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room in the lower level of the Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services Building in Willmar.

The workshop, presented by Community Education/Sexual Assault Program Coordinator Dani Lindner, will introduce participants to what dating violence and sexual violence is, as well as what makes it difficult to leave an abusive relationship.

It's estimated that one in three teens will experience some type of physical aggression during their teen dating years and that women ages 16-24 experience the highest rates of relationship violence and sexual violence.

For more information about the event, contact Brenda Sondrol, Kandiyohi County minor parent social worker, at 320-231-7800 ext. 2430.
