David A. Clark April 12, 1936 - April 18, 2009
WILLMAR -- David Alexander Clark, 73, of Willmar died Saturday at Bethesda Pleasantview Nursing Home.
The service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Estherville, Iowa, at a later date. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 167 .
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour before the service at the church.
He was born April 12, 1936, in Estherville, Iowa, to James and Arlene (Belding) Clark. He grew up in Estherville and graduated from Estherville High School. He owned restaurants in Dallas, and in Estherville, Spirit Lake and Lake Park, Iowa.
He married Jean Holles on Oct. 18, 1986, in Estherville. He retired in 1998 and they moved to Willmar where they owned and operated the Buchanan House Bed and Breakfast for five years. He also drove school bus for Willmar Bus Company.
He is survived by his wife; children: Ben (and Katie) Clark of Dallas, Katie (and Chris) Quiring of Spirit Lake, Brenda Eddy of West Des Moines, Iowa, Maggie (and Robert) Rappaport of Tucson, Ariz., and Elly Clark of Willmar; eight grandchildren; siblings: Charles Clark of Sacramento, Calif., James (and Sue) Clark of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Neil (and Nancy) Clark of Arlington, Mass., Steven Clark of St. Paul, Nancy (and Pete) Brown of Cedar Rapids and Marcia Lipsom of Boston.
