Dawson-Boyd rumbles past Adrian

DAWSON -- Area rushing leader Matt Anderson had six touchdown runs and piled up 376 yards off total offense to help Dawson-Boyd rumble past Adrian 48-13 in a Little Sioux Conference football game on Thursday night.

In the first half alone Anderson ran for 190 yards and scored four times, allowing the Blackjacks (6-1, 6-1) to take a comfortable 28-7 lead into halftime. He finished with 331 yards rushing and one reception worth 45 yards, which set up his fourth score.

Anderson's highlight in the second half was a 90-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Jake Bothun was the only other Blackjacks to score, with a touchdown on a 10-yard run to end the game scoring.

The Blackjacks didn't turn the ball over, while getting it back three times on fumble recoveries.

Jesse Brake scored on a six-yard run in the second quarter fior Adrian and Brett Novotny added a one-yard score in the final quarter.

Dawson-Boyd hosts MACCRAY on Tuesday night in the final regular-season game.
