WILLMAR -- Delna Edna Slavick, 78, of Fort Collins, Colo., formerly of Willmar, died Aug. 26 at a care facility in Fort Collins.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 20 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar.
Memorials are preferred to Redeemer Lutheran Church memorial fund or Compassionate Care in Willmar. Arrangements are by Goes Funeral Care of Fort Collins, Colo.
She was born Nov. 8, 1929, in Willmar to Carl and Selma (Kremin) Ehrreich. She graduated from Willmar High School in 1946.
She married Allen "Check" Slavick on June 12, 1949, in Willmar. She lived her entire life in Minnesota until moving to Fort Collins in June 2007.
She was an active member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar, participating in the church guild, Vacation Bible School and various Bible study groups. She volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels, was a Cub Scout den mother and received a longevity award for her service to the community. She was one of the co-founders of the "Chix of Forty-Six," a group dedicated to keeping classmates in touch with class reunions and monthly social events.
She is survived by two sons: Mike (and Kathy) Slavick of Fort Collins and Alan (and Shirley) Slavick of Soldiers Grove, Wis.; one daughter: Kathy Thompson of Madison, Wis.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings: Violet Werder of Willmar, Ardeen Teichroew of Jeffers and Donald Ehrreich of Copperopolis, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband in September 1999 and by one brother.
