REDWOOD FALLS -- Delores Mary Steinkraus, 93, of Redwood Falls, died Thursday at Wood Dale Nursing Home in Redwood Falls.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Redwood Falls. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at Nelson-Martin Funeral Chapel in Redwood Falls, and for one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Redwood Falls Library or the American Cancer Society.

She was born April 1, 1916, in Delhi Township in Redwood County to John and Louise (Fox) Ruder.

She married Walter "Stoney" Steinkraus, and they lived in Redwood Falls. She was a homemaker, seamstress and worked alongside Stoney in their bakery.

She was a lifelong member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, delivered Meals on Wheels for many years and volunteered at nursing homes.

She is survived by her children: Mary (and Herbert) Paul of Cody, Wyo., Julia (and Gary) Levin of Minneapolis, David Steinkraus of South St. Paul and Martha (and Norman) Hande of New London; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother: Tom Ruder of Redwood Falls; and a sister: Marie McDonald of Bellingham, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 9, 1986; one granddaughter; and two sisters.
