Prosecutors will not file charges in overdose death of musician Prince

NEW LONDON -- Delpha Mae Thon, 88, of New London died Monday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Burial will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Crystal.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home in New London and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was born April 28, 1921, on the family farm near Garvin to Marion and Edith (Lind) Owens. She attended school in the area and, after graduating from high school, attended Minneapolis Business College.

She married Frank Thon on July 29, 1944, in Garvin. They lived in Minneapolis for 38 years where she was a homemaker. After her children finished school she worked for the Minneapolis Credit Bureau, retiring in 1982. They moved to Pine City. She moved to GlenOaks Senior Living Center in New London in 2001. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the New London Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children: John (and Virginia) Thon of New London, Neil (and Lois) Thon of Coon Rapids, and Barb (and Bob) Raudenbush of Worthington; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994 and an infant brother.
