DAWSON -- Dennis Dale Heise, 65, of Dawson, died Friday near Sisseton, S.D., while on a trucking run.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson. Burial will be in Terrace Lawn Memory Garden Cemetery, rural Montevideo.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at the Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.
He was born Aug. 22, 1943, in Canby to Walter and Margaret (Swenson) Heise.
He married Linda Berg on June 28, 1969, in Russell. They lived in the Cottonwood and Marshall areas. He had driven truck for more than 34 years and was employed by Viessman Trucking.
He is survived by his wife; children: Todd Heise of Omaha, Neb., Stacy (and Scott) Vanderostyne of Canby, Heather (and Jim) Hurt of Cottonwood, Dennis Jr. of Denver, Colo., Terry Heise of Evansville, Ind., and Kim of Indiana; 12 grandchildren; his mother: Margaret Racette of Marshall; brothers: Doug (and Rosemary) Heise of Marshall and Mike (and Marsha) Heise of Milwaukee, Wis.; and sisters: Carol (Bill) Merritt of Mankato and Shari (Mike) Verdeck of Marshall.
He was preceded in death by his father; and by his stepfather, Henry Racette.
