GLENWOOD -- DeWayne Norman Danielson, 76, of rural Glenwood, died Friday at his home.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Glenwood Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Monson Lake Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood and for one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
He was born May 8, 1932, in Sunburg to Clarence and Jeannette (Hagen) Danielson. He grew up in the Sunburg area and attended school at Kandiyohi County School District 59 and Swift County School District 19.
He married Arlene Dokken on Oct. 29, 1966, in Benson. They lived in Sunburg before moving to Lake Amelia. He worked in farming and construction all his life until retiring in 1995.
He is survived by his wife; his children: Victory Daniels of Fairbanks, Alaska, DeAnne Twitchell of Rio Rancho, N.M., Laurie Nelson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Larry Danielson of Douglas, Wyo., Denise (and Kevin) Sands of North Fort Meyers, Fla., Kelly (and Stacey) Danielson of Sauk Centre, Brad (and Annie) Danielson of DeGraff and Bryan (and Tonya) Danielson of Osakis; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother: LeRoy (and Judie) Danielson of Richville.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Lucille (Evenson); an infant son: Dwight Owen Danielson; three sons-in-law: Glen Nelson, Chuck Twitchell and Ted Dengerud; and one brother.
