Dianne M. Baker Aug. 7, 1944 - March 21, 2009

BELGRADE -- Dianne Marie Baker, 64, of Belgrade died Saturday at her home.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hope Lutheran Church in Sunburg. Burial will be in the West Norway Lake Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was born Aug. 7, 1944, in Swift County to Orville and Adora (Rice) Quale. She grew up on a farm northwest of Sunburg and attended country school. She graduated from Kerkhoven High School in 1962.

She married Gene Baker on Aug. 14, 1964 in rural Sunburg. They farmed until 1986. She worked for Jennie-O, Mike's Lutefisk and, most recently, for Lake Region Home Health as an aide.

She is survived by her children: Keenan Baker (and Christine Jenniges) of Sunburg; Stacie Warner (and Mike Gerke) of New London; and Leonda (and Matt) Gottwald of Willmar; six grandchildren; siblings: Karen (and Dean) Mellgren of Kerkhoven, David (and Jane) Quale of Kerkhoven and Nita (and Don) Meulebroeck of Glenwood.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987, one brother and one grandson.
