In historically rare move, The Forum Editorial Board doesn't endorse Republican candidate for president

District Court, Kandiyohi County, Oct. 2

Travis Sentell Smith, 23, of Willmar, was arraigned Wednesday on two felony fifth-degree controlled substance charges for selling and aiding and abetting the selling of marijuana.

Unconditional bail was set at $10,000. Conditional bail was allowed at $1,000.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 4, a CEE-VI Drug Task Force agent spoke with a confidential informant who was going to purchase an ounce of marijuana from Smith for $100. The informant and another agent went to Smith's residence, and from there went to the home of Adam Buento III, 29, of Willmar, who was charged with two felonies and has a warrant for his arrest in the case, to pick up the marijuana.

After the deal was complete, the informant handed over to agents a bag of green leafy substance that tested positive as 23.5 grams of marijuana.

His next appearance is Oct. 13.
