Adam James Robledo, 24, of Kandiyohi, made his first appearance Monday on a felony domestic assault charge.
Unconditional bail was set at $20,000. Conditional bail was set at $1,000 cash, provided he have no contact with the victim, be excluded from her home and possess no firearms or dangerous weapons. His next appearance is Nov. 10.
Robledo was arrested Friday evening in Willmar during a traffic stop for driving while impaired and possession of more than 1.4 grams of marijuana in a motor vehicle.
According to the complaint on the domestic charge, a Kandiyohi County Sheriff's deputy was dispatched around 4:30 a.m. Oct. 9 to a home in Kandiyohi on a domestic. A woman there said Robledo assaulted her with a belt, pushed over a dresser onto her ankle and threw an alarm clock at her after they argued when he arrived home at 4 a.m.
He has prior qualified domestic assault convictions including one in January 2005 for violating a no contact order and in November 2004 on a misdemeanor domestic assault charge.
