Dog still missing after fatal crash south of Willmar, Minn.
WILLMAR -- Nearly a week after a four-vehicle fatal crash at the junction of Highways 71 and 7 south of Willmar on Christmas Eve, a dog that was riding in one of the vehicles remains missing.
The dog, a black and gray Schnauzer mix named Lord, ran away from the crash scene.
According to the Humane Society of Kandiyohi and Meeker Counties, he has been spotted a few times in the area. Volunteers have been going out daily to search for him.
The Humane Society said this morning that the most recent sighting was in the neighborhood of a mobile home park in Blomkest. Anyone with information is asked to call the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter at 235-7612.
A second Schnauzer named Lady was rescued after the crash and is now being cared for at Fancy Coats Grooming and Pet Inn in Kandiyohi.
