APPLETON -- Dolores K. Huckle, 92, of Appleton, died Wednesday at Appleton Area Health Services.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton. Burial will be in the Bellingham Cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel.
She was born Sept. 15, 1916, in Maynard to Henry and Ida (Lieser) Kesting. She grew up in Bellingham and attended St. Cloud State College.
She married Walter Huckle on March 28, 1942, in Bellingham. She taught school for five years. She worked as an engineering draftsman at Douglas Aircraft at Long Beach, Calif., during World War II. After the war, they moved to Appleton and she helped her husband in his home improvement business. Later she sold World Book Encyclopedias. She was a district manager for the Field Enterprises Educational Corporation for 10 years. She was unit president of the American Legion Auxiliary and district president of the seventh district American Legion Auxiliary. She taught Sunday school at Zion Lutheran for many years, taught the Bethel Bible Study Series for adults, served on the church council, several committees of the church, was president of the women's group and served as circuit secretary for the ladies aid.
She is survived by her son: Thomas Huckle.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982 and four brothers.
