Donald Clancy Aug. 11, 1935 - May 27, 2009
WILLMAR -- Donald Lee Clancy, 73, of Willmar, died Wednesday at the Willmar Commons Care Center.
A graveside service with military honors will be at 10:45 a.m. Friday at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar.
He was born Aug. 11, 1935, in Olivia to Elmer and Marion (Swenson) Clancy. He grew up and received his education in the Olivia community. In 1953, he enlisted in the Air Force and served during the Korean War and Vietnam War, retiring from the Air Force as technical sergeant in 1973.
He lived in California and in 1999, moved to Willmar. He was employed as a custodian by the Willmar School District for several years and recently retired due to his ill health.
He is survived by one brother: Ronald (and Kay) Clancy of Willmar; two sisters: Sharon (and Darrell) Johnson of Kandiyohi and Janet Lentz of Tucson, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
