NEW LONDON -- Donna Marie Knopps, 73, of New London, died Tuesday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hope Presbyterian Church in Spicer. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in New London.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Johnson Funeral Home in New London and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born Nov. 21, 1935, in Eau Claire, Wis., to Alva and Violet (Barto) Patton. She grew up in Eau Claire where she attended school, graduating in 1955.
She married Ignatius Knopps on July 23, 1955, in Eau Claire. They made their home in Eau Claire until moving to the Mankato area in 1965, where they lived until moving to the Willmar, Spicer and New London area in 1974.
She is survived by her husband; children: Mary (and Les) Colen of Hines, Rhonda (and Doug) Wolters of Mankato, Steven (and Melanie) Knopps of Winnebago, Joseph (and Billie) Knopps of New London, Jo Anne (and Lane) Zehnder of Burnsville and Donald (and Ida) Knopps of New London; 35 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Lois Kaska of Kadatt, Wis., and Barb Charvano of Sun Prairie, Wis.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
