WILLMAR - Donna M. Vigen age 77 of Willmar died on Monday, October 7, 2013 at St. Cloud Hospital. Funeral service will be 10:30am on Friday at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be in Cloverleaf Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Thursday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Donna M. Vigen was born on November 24, 1935 in South Dakota the daughter of Roy and Alyce (McRae) Kjos. The family moved to Willmar where Donna attended school and graduated from Willmar High School in the class of 1954. Donna received nurses training in Minneapolis. She worked as an LPN for Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar and various nursing homes. She was united in marriage to Howard Vigen on July 3, 1970. The couple lived in Willmar. Donna and Howard worked together in their business, Vintage Vehicle Sales. They collected vintage cars and airplanes. Their business allowed them to travel and fly airplanes all over the country. Howard died in 1987. Donna continued to live in Willmar where she kept active with the Order of the Eastern Star serving as Grand Worthy Matron, and volunteering her time.

She was a member of Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar serving on Altar Guild, and Esther Circle. She was also active with the Fraternal Order of the Elks, Rice Hospital Auxiliary, Rice Hospice and numerous vintage clubs and organizations.

She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and spending time at the lake. Her family remembers her baking especially her Swedish Rye Bread and Rusks. Her compassion was displayed through the work she did. Her "Faith, Family and Friends," were very important to her.

Donna is survived by her son, Rick (and Maribeth) Reimer of Kandiyohi; two granddaughters: Ashley (and Derik) Edwards and Emily Reimer, four great-grandchildren: Aubree Edwards, Sydney Edwards, Sawyer Edwards and Sterling Larson; sister, Ruth (and Owen) Germundson of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kathy Ann, and her brother.
