Dorothy A. Bloom April 17, 1926 - June 28, 2009
WILLMAR -- Dorothy Ann Bloom, 83, of Willmar, died Sunday at Bethesda Heritage Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Church Chapel in Willmar. Burial will be at Cloverleaf Cemetery in Willmar.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and one hour before the service Wednesday at the church.
She was born April 17, 1926, in Willmar to Harry and Emma (Gundershaug) Card. She grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1944. She worked for a short time in Washington, D.C., for the United States Department of the Navy.
She married Robert Bloom on July 2, 1944, and they lived in Willmar. She was a homemaker. Robert died on May 23, 2009, in Willmar. She later entered Bethesda Heritage Center.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church where she helped in circle and was a member of the Willmar Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She is survived by her son: Jeff (and Marian) Bloom of Willmar; two grandchildren; and sisters: Marjorie Bjorndahl of Willmar, June Pluerde of Denver, Colo., and Betty Dietmann of Sartell.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons: Doug and Lee; and a granddaughter.
