Dorothy Haider Sept.14, 1930 - Feb. 4, 2009
ELROSA -- Dorothy C. Haider, 78, of Elrosa died Wednesday at the St. Cloud Hospital.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose, with Christian Mothers and the Catholic Aid Society prayers at 6:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7:30 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born Sept. 14, 1930, in Greenwald to George and Hildegard Meyer.
She married Leander Haider on Sept. 4, 1950, in Greenwald. They farmed south of Elrosa until 1976 when they moved to town. They spent their winters in Arizona.
She is survived by her children: Gary (and Kathy) Haider of Elrosa, Karen (and Larry) Thostenson of Melrose, Jean (and Curt) Larson of Willmar, Joan (and Rollie) Hoven of Camarillo, Calif., and Brenda (and George) Kochmann of Paynesville; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings: Julian Meyer of Sauk Centre, Bernard (and Jane) Meyer of Sauk Centre, Cletus Meyer of Greenwald, Roger (and Sarah) Meyer of Pittsburgh, Gordon (and Myrna) Meyer of Burnsville, Mary (and Bill) Kobilka of Forest Lake, Judy (and Dick) Trombly of Minnetonka and Jane (and Jack) Meyer-Ditmore of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004 and two brothers.
