Driver dies in Friday morning crash in Lac qui Parle County
MADISON - One person is dead following a crash early Friday morning at the intersection of two county highways in Lac qui Parle County.
The Lac qui Parle County Sheriff’s Office said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was taken by ambulance to Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson. Names are being withheld while further investigation takes place and family members are notified.
The crash happened shortly before 5 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 25 and County Road 2. The Sheriff’s Office said foggy conditions Friday morning may have been a factor.
Assisting at the scene were the Dawson Ambulance, Dawson Fire Department, Boyd First Responders, Boyd Fire Department, Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office, Clarkfield Fire and Ambulance, St. Leo Fire Department and Minnesota State Patrol.
