Driver killed in two-vehicle crash near Cottonwood, Minn.

COTTONWOOD -- The name of a driver killed in a two-vehicle crash around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday southwest of Cottonwood is not being released until the victim is identified.

According to the State Patrol, the person was driving a 2008 Cadillac northbound on Lyon County Road 9 and collided with a 2004 Mack semi driven by Scott D. Glidewell, 43, of Ruthton. The semi was westbound on State Highway 23.

Glidewell was treated and released at Avera Hospital in Marshall. The semi tractor and the Cadillac were destroyed by fire.

Also responding to the crash was the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.
