Driving conditions difficult tonight in Willmar area

WILLMAR -- Driving conditions have become difficult this evening in the Willmar area.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation's traveler Web site 511mn.org, there is snow on the roadway, patches of packed snow and slippery conditions in Chippewa, Kandiyohi, Lac qui Parle and Yellow Medicine counties.

Blowing snow is reducing visibilities, and Tribune staffers have reported near white-out conditions when meeting traffic, especially larger vehicles.
