According to the National Weather Service, areas of drizzle will continue until about 1 p.m. today in the Willmar area. The afternoon will include a chance of showers with mostly cloudy skies and a high temperature around 52 degrees.

However, high temperatures will reach well into the 60's Tuesday through Sunday, with sunny skies and lows above 40 degrees.

The next chance of showers, likely with thunderstorms, is Saturday afternoon and evening.

According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, nearly all Minnesota counties are in a moderate to severe drought. The monitor shows that Kandiyohi County has received between 5 and 7 inches of precipitation less than normal between Aug. 1, 2011 and Feb. 29. However, the February snowfall was between 80 and 90 percent of normal, according to Department of Natural Resources Climatology data.
