DuWayne O. 'Duke' Jaeger

BENSON -- DuWayne O. "Duke" Jaeger, 71, of Benson, died Thursday at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Benson. Burial will be in the Benson City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church and for one hour prior to the service Monday. Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson is handling arrangements.
He was born June 27, 1937, in Cashel Township, Swift County, to Andrew August and Hilda Selma (Eklund) Jaeger. He attended country school through the eighth grade at District 71 in Cashel Township and graduated from Benson High School in 1955. He worked for Benson Standard Lumber Company in the late 1950s.
He married Delores Mae Bailey on Aug. 20, 1960, in Benson. He hauled bottled gas for Don Wilson in Benson, drove semi for West Central Trucking in Benson and then drove milk truck for Benson Co-op Creamery and Mid America Creamery until he retired in 1984. He then attended auctioneer schooling and continued auctioning until he became ill.
He was a member of Benson Jaycees, Benson Lions Club, the Putts and Purrs Tractor Club, the Minnesota Auctioneering Association and St. Mark's Lutheran Church where he served as a trustee and usher.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter: Becky Mast (and Ken Halverson) of Benson; three sons: Wayne (and Diane) Jaeger of Benson, Andy Jaeger of Benson and Todd Jaeger (and Teresa Strickland) of New London; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother: Ronald (and Bonnie) Jaeger of Benson.
He was preceded in death by one son: DuWayne Jaeger Jr. in 1962.
