Early morning fire at Paynesville, Minn., Township residence takes one life

A fire in a rural Paynesville Township residence early Monday morning has resulted in one death.

A passing motorist reported a fire about 6 a.m. this morning at 19503 293rd Avenue, rural Paynesville. The mobile home structure was fully engulfed in flames when the Paynesville Fire Department and Ambulance Service and the Stearns County Sheriff's Deputies arrived.

When the flames were extinguished, a human body was found within the residence. The body has been sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

The Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office is assisting in the investigation.

The possible identity of the deceased is not being released by the Stearns County Sheriff's Office at this time.
