The Minnesota Twins won three most-win games as they raced to a tie finish with the Detroit Tigers.

Then the Dome was the scene of the Central Division's 163nd game for the title between Twins and Tigers.

In between, Monday Night Football came to town for a national telecast for the Brett Favre-led Vikings facing the Green Bay Packers. It was a classic Packer-Viking game with the Vikes pulling off a 30-23 win.

This hectic Dome scene for Minnesota's sports season also featured the Minnesota-Wisconsin football game Saturday, the Twin Cities Marathon Sunday and the Minnesota Wild home opener Tuesday night.

So Minnesota fans have seen a number of significant sports events in the past week.

At the heart of Minnesota's sporting heart was the Dome, the home-sweet-home of Twins baseball. This season is the end of 28 years of Twins' Dome-ball.

Throughout this stretch of indoor baseball, fans have come from all across the upper Midwest. They have also come to love Twins baseball. They have enjoyed a lot of championship baseball, including two world championships.

Tuesday could have been the end for Twins baseball at the Metrodome. The Twins got another win.

Thanks to the Dome, the Twins Tuesday again added to our collective Minnesota memories.
