Fischbach to take Minnesota lieutenant governor oath

BENSON -- Edward Oliver Davidson, 95, of Willmar, formerly of Benson died Saturday at the Willmar Commons Nursing Home.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Swift Falls. Burial will be in St. Pauli Cemetery in Camp Lake Township.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.

He was born Feb. 15, 1913, in Camp Lake Township, Swift County, to David and Sophie (Johnson) Davidson. He grew up in Camp Lake Township and attended school through the eighth grade at District 14. He farmed his entire life, being the third generation to work the farm that was established in 1872.

He was a member of St. Pauli Lutheran Church and, most recently, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. He retired in 1995 and moved to Benson. In 2008, he entered the Willmar Commons Nursing Home.

He is survived by his sisters: Josie Tollefsrud of Willmar, and Sylvia (and Charles) Pake of Rufus, Ore.

He was preceded in death by one brother, five sisters, two in infancy.
