Edythe R. Anderson

MONTEVIDEO -- Edythe Ruth Anderson, 90, of Montevideo, died Thursday at Trinity Care Center in Farmington.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
She was born June 15, 1918, in Benson to Syvert and Clara Gilbertson. She graduated from Benson High School in 1936 and worked as a telephone operator for the Benson Telephone Co.
She married Arnold C. Anderson on March 27, 1943, at Camp Lee, Va. They lived in Montevideo where her husband worked in the family funeral home business. After Arnie died Jan. 26, 2006, she moved to Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo and then moved to Apple Valley in November of 2007.
She was a member of Bridge Club and of Our Savior's Lutheran Church where she sang in the Ladies Choir and was a member of the Elizabeth Circle.
She is survived by her sons: David (and Vicki) Anderson of Siren, Wis., Mark (and Cheryl) Anderson of Lakeville; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother: Kelly (and Doris) Gilberston of Florida; and two sisters: Elynor "Honey" (and Lowell) Bagstad of Marshall and Helen Scharlemann of Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers; and three sisters.
