Eldora M. Ochsendorf

DAWSON -- Eldora Marie Ochsendorf, 83, of Dawson died Monday at her home in Riverside Apartments in Dawson.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, with a closing prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson.
She was born April 9, 1924, in Ipswich, S.D., to Robert and Emilia (Ross) Giese. She grew up on a farm in the Ipswich area and attended country school through eighth grade.
She married LeRoy Ochsendorf on April 11, 1943, in Canby. They farmed in the Canby area until 1970, when they moved to rural Dawson. They continued to farm until 1985. After her husband's death in 1987, she moved into the Riverside Apartments in Dawson.
She was active in various church groups and was a 4-H leader for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her children: Ron (and Mary) Ochsendorf of Montevideo, Karen (and Wayne) Launderville of Garfield, Ark., Leslie (and Geri) Ochsendorf of Alexandria, Garry (and Gail) Ochsendorf of rural Boyd, Deb Bendel of Prior Lake and Rick (and Deb) Ochsendorf of Prior Lake; 23 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one brother: Fred (and Lyla) Giese of Canby; and two sisters: Bertha Johnson of Canby and Virdeena Knutson of Renville.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her son: Lonny, in 1992; four brothers; and five sisters.
