BENSON -- Eleanor Dorthea Hamann, 98, of Benson, died Saturday at the Homestead Place in Benson.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church near Holloway. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
She was born June 16, 1910, in Moyer Township, Swift County, to Carl and Anna (Winkelman) Suckow. She attended country school in Swift County.
She married Martin O. Hamann on Nov. 8, 1933, in rural Holloway. They farmed in rural Holloway until April of 1975, when they moved to Benson.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where she was involved in Ladies' Aid.
She is survived by two sons: Harley (and LaVerne) Hamann of Benson, and Darrel (and Karen) Hamann of Maple Grove; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter: Phyllis Jensen; son-in-law: Myron Jensen; one grandson; her twin sister; and one brother.
