Elizabeth Lecher April 22, 1915 - Oct. 7, 2008
BELGRADE -- Elizabeth Ann Lecher, 93 of Belgrade, died Tuesday at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church in Belgrade with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade, with a Christian Mothers Rosary at 5:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m., and for one hour prior to the services at the church.
She was born April 22, 1915, in Buckman to Peter and Frances (Braun) Mueller. She grew up in Buckman where she attended school.
She married Isadore Lecher on Aug. 2, 1932, in St. Cloud. They lived in Kerkhoven where she worked for Jennie-O Foods for more than 20 years. In 1968, they moved to Georgeville. She moved to Wisconsin after Isadore's death in 1973 and returned to Belgrade in 1984. She was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church in Belgrade.
She is survived by children: Marlene (and Russell) Strand of Belgrade, Sandy Lecher of Sommerset, Wis., Ronnie (and Wendy) Lecher, Gary (and Bonnie) Lecher, Margaret (and Ron) Hart and Richard (and Shelly) Lecher, all of Belgrade; 26 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters: Kathleen Cousins of Davenport, Iowa, and Arlene Vogel of St. Joseph.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her children: DuWayne, Robert, Richard and Patricia Quigley; six brothers; five sisters; daughter-in-law: Sharon Lecher; and son-in-law: Roger Quigley.
