LITCHFIELD -- Elizabeth Tena (Riediger) Kiecker, 90, of Litchfield died Monday at the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ in Kandiyohi. Burial will be in Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Willmar.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Arrangements are by Peterson Brothers Funeral Home of Willmar.
She was born Oct. 6, 1918, in the Canby area to Charles and Tena (Eilers) Clapp. She grew up in the Canby area, worked candling eggs and graduated from Canby High School in 1941. She continued her education and graduated from the teachers academy in 1942. She taught school in Canby area and rural schools in Lincoln and Yellow Medicine counties.
On May 16, 1954, she married William Riediger in Taunton. They lived in Canby and then moved to Marshall. They lived in several places near Marshall and, in about 1961, moved to the Svea-Blomkest area and, in about 1965, moved to Willmar. William died in 1968.
In 1972, she married Herman Kiecker and they lived near Lake Lillian. Herman died in 1978 and she moved to Atwater. She lived at the Paynesville Manor in Paynesville for a short time, moved back to Atwater and, in 2006, moved to the Emmanuel Nursing Home.
She was a member of her church and taught Sunday school for many years.
She is survived by two sons: Kenneth (and Carla) Riediger of Abilene, Texas, and Ronald (and Jeanie) Riediger of Diamond, Mo., four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings: Charles (and Lucille) Clapp of Marshall, Edward Clapp of Zimmerman, Martha Hanson of Canby, Mary Beattie of Canby, Ore., Lillian Dwight of Aberdeen, S.D., and Alice (and Phil) Prickett of Avon, Ind.
She was preceded in death by both her husbands; an infant son: LeRoy Riediger; and one sister.
