WILLMAR -- Ella Theodora Lecy, 86 of Willmar, died Wednesday at Bethesda Pleasantview Nursing Home in Willmar.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. at East Yellow Medicine Cemetery in Hanley Falls.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Hanley Falls to John and Belle (Gilbertson) Haroldson. She grew up on the family farm in Hanley Falls and graduated from Hanley Falls High School in 1940. She attended Augsburg College in Minneapolis.
She married Lloyd Lecy on Jan. 7, 1945, in Hanley Falls. They lived in Oakland, Calif., and Olivia before moving to Windom in 1947. There they owned and operated the family business, Wilder Grain Company, where she worked as the office manager. They retired in 1975 and moved to Spicer. She worked part time as a church secretary for Calvary Lutheran Church and volunteered at the Green Lake Bible Camp in Spicer. They moved to Sunrise Village in Willmar in 2002. She later entered Bethesda Pleasantview Nursing Home. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church and was active in Bible study. She was a member of home extension and bridge groups.
She is survived by her son: Greg (and Jeanette) Lecy of Spicer; three grandchildren; and one brother: Glenn (and Arlene) Haroldson of Wood Lake.
She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant son: Michael; and one brother.
