Ellen Bosch May 11, 1915 - June 4, 2009
MONTEVIDEO -- Ellen Marie Bosch, 94, of Montevideo, died Thursday at the Valin Assisted Living in Montevideo.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo. Burial will be in the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
She was born May 11, 1915, in St. Paul to John and Anna (Halaas) Lee. She grew up in Louriston Township, Chippewa County, and moved with her family to Grace Township, Chippewa County, in 1927 and attended school in District 10.
She married Bernard Bosch on Feb. 6, 1935, in Grace Township where they lived and farmed in until moving to Montevideo in 1994. She moved to Clara City in 1997 and moved to Brookside Manor in Montevideo in 2000. She was a resident of the Valin Assisted Living in Montevideo for the past 2½ years. She was a member of Rosewood United Methodist Church for many years where she was a Sunday school teacher, treasurer of the congregation for many years and was active in the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Montevideo at the time of her death. She was a member of the birthday club, CI Club, Homemakers, TOPS, was a 4-H leader and managed the 4-H food stand at the county fair for many years. She wintered in Texas for many years.
She is survived by two sons: Norman (and Wilma) Bosch and Douglas (and Barbara) Bosch, all of Montevideo; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one son-in-law: Ronald Stevens of Montevideo; siblings: Bertha Tjosaas and Jennie Claussen, both of Benson and Albert Lee of Coos Bay, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999; a daughter: Joyce Stevens in 1998; one granddaughter; three brothers; and one sister.
